FRIENDS

Friendship comes in two ways:  the friendship others offer to us and the friendship we offer to others.  St. John's is blessed by both kinds of friendship. The gift of this friendship is what keeps all of us, whether as a parish or as individuals, from becoming so inwardly focused that we're no outwardly good -- to anyone. Even ourselves.

Friendship at St. John's is expressed in a variety of ways. One way is through active helpfulness. Friends help friends. And that is the commitment St. John repeatedly makes to the Staten Island community.
